NFDA: Consumer Attitude Survey

Exploring current market perceptions of franchised dealers

We have worked as a research partner to the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) since 2015 by running their consumer attitude survey. The survey is now an annual tracker to research market opinion and explore perceptions of franchised retailers and their competitors among car owners.

We recently delivered the seventh wave of the survey, examining the attitudes of 2,000 drivers across the UK with a 15-minute online survey.

This study is undertaken with four major objectives:

  • Explore current market perceptions of franchised dealers and their competitors
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of consumer aftersales behaviour
  • Understand attitudes and behaviour in relation to newer car engines and technology
  • Provide an opportunity to gain robust insight into ad hoc areas of interest

We produce a range of deliverables including multiple insight reports, infographics and a presentation to the press.

The research continues to reveal key insights to help franchised dealers understand and, where necessary, improve their proposition.

“DRG have been an extremely professional and reliable partner for NFDA. Thanks to the exhaustiveness and clarity of their findings, we have been able to provide valuable insights to our members.”
